Since my life is tough, I'm going to destroy my old preamp, take out the power transformer, and make a 6V6 single amplifier. I thought of it because the chassis is small.
My wife passed away, so I know it's not good to do this, but I'm mentally exhausted. I have to do something, so I'm going to make a 6V6 single amplifier.
I'll try using the parts left over from the EL3N. It's impossible to forget my wife. She was the woman I lived with for 42 years. She was my wife, and we had a closer relationship than a brother. My right arm passed away.
I ask myself questions every day, talking to myself and saying I won't lose, I won't lose. It is said that a man who has lost his wife, that is, a husband, will not live for more than three years. What about me?
I'm getting old too. I don't think I can live that long. If possible, I will be on welfare, but I intend to keep making amplifiers. If possible.

Note:

Note: Building an amplifier is relatively easy.
It should be easy even for those with some experience building amplifiers.
1) Be sure to wire the bus line. Always use thick copper wire to float the bus line above the chassis. Do not ground it to the chassis in any convenient location. Always ground it at a single point, at the input terminal.
2) The above will prevent hum, but be sure to secure the power transformer and output transformer in a position where hum will not occur. Don't forget.
3) You can use either a single resistor or a choke coil for the smoothing circuit.
A single resistor will produce a clearer sound.
4) Use a high-quality high-impedance output transformer.
5KΩ to 7KΩ.
5) The power output is 5 watts, but think of it as 4W.
It can output 3W, but that's not high output.
6) Be sure to use an 8Ω speaker with an efficiency of 90db/m or higher.

Now, as you can see from the characteristics of the vacuum tube, it has the same characteristics as a transmitting tube. It has the same characteristics as the 6AQ5.
In class C, it produces more than 8W, but since this is class A, I think it will produce less than half that, about 5W.
Even in class A, if you swing it up to the + region, it may produce about 8W.
But I think 5W is enough. Because the power transformer has a small tolerance, the current is suppressed at 280V or more for B+. It should be about 35mA.
The circuit diagram is the same as the EL84. The drive is ECC88. I like the sound of the ECC88. The output impedance is 7K ohms. I hope to produce the same sound as the EL3N.
I made some changes to the wiring of the audio transformer, changing the hot side to enable UL.
I also lowered the cathode resistance a little. This makes it closer to Class A. The UL impedance tap was changed.
Next time I make one I will use a larger transformer or a Finemet transformer. However, I am still poor so I don't know when that will be.

Marlhori V1

The parts have just been installed, and now we are going to give it shape Marlhori V1
The Marlhori name will be added to all amplifiers produced from now on.

The power supply is a 5R4 full-wave rectifier circuit. I initially thought of putting a choke transformer in the smoothing circuit, but the size was not right, so I used a single cement resistor.
I was worried about hum, but there was none at all. The sound is very good with this Canadian-made 6V6. I also have an expensive GT tube 6V6,
but the sound tendencies were not good and I didn't feel the sound was good. I feel that this NOS vacuum tube is very good.

There are two types of 6V6 ST tubes and GT tubes. Both are the same specification vacuum tubes.

This time I do not have any new component so remove another amplifier . and using small power transformer and chassis.
amplifier is very small than general amplifier but will be get good sound. schematic diagram show next.

The chassis is as follows

P-212

I think the price is 2500 Yen. The aluminum is about 0.8mm thick, so it's easy to make holes in it

only tranformer Fine met are $ 650 USD + amplifier cost

Amplifier construction cost:
I believe it can be built for under $300.
For the output transformer, use a high-impedance, sandwich-wound, high-quality transformer
with a maximum output of 10W or less. A 20W output is acceptable, but will be more expensive.
This amplifier uses a 5W maximum output transformer, which costs under $100 per pair.
If possible, purchase a Japanese-made output transformer.ex) KA5730 or PMF5WS by genaral transformer sales co Japan.

The driver can be either the ECC88 or the ECC83,
but the constants will be slightly different. The ECC88 is a safe choice.
If you're looking for a different sound, try the 6AQ8.
It's the same type of voltage tube as the ECC85. It's very similar to the ECC83,
but it's a more advanced vacuum tube than the ECC88.
Use an oil capacitor for the coupling capacitor.
Use 0.1uF to 0.22uF. A film capacitor
is also acceptable, but an oil capacitor is recommended if possible.
